It started mid-gig. Pick slipped from my fingers, disappeared into the dark stage floor, and the song kept going without me. That was the third time that month.

What pick sizes does it fit?
Most standard picks - thin, medium, and heavy gauge all fit.
the Pling is designed to hold standard guitar picks between 0.46mm and 1.5mm thick. This covers most picks on the market including Fender mediums, Dunlop Tortex, and Jazz III style picks. Unusually wide or novelty-shaped picks may not clip in securely.
Will it fall off while playing?
Once moulded to your thumb, it stays put.
Because the Pling is heat-moulded to fit your thumb exactly, it sits snugly and won't slip during normal playing - including aggressive strumming and fast picking. If it ever feels loose, just re-mould it with hot water.
How do I switch between strumming and fingerpicking?
Tuck your pick behind the ring - it takes one motion.
When you want to fingerpick, rotate your pick down and back so it sits tucked behind the ring holder. Your fingers are then free to fingerpick naturally. To strum again, rotate the pick back into position with your thumb. Most players get this motion down within one practice session.
Will it affect my picking technique?
Most players adjust within 30 minutes.
There's a short adaptation period - usually half an hour to a full session. After that, most players report their technique feels completely natural. The ring is designed to sit out of the way of normal picking motion. Some players find their technique actually improves because they stop gripping the pick too tightly.
Can I use it with my current picks?
Yes. Works with standard picks you already own.
You don't need to buy special picks. If your picks are standard shape and standard thickness (roughly 0.46mm–1.5mm), they'll clip straight into the Pling. Bring your own favourites.

How do I get the perfect fit?
Hot water, 30 seconds - it moulds to your exact thumb shape.

To get your custom fit: drop it in hot (not boiling) water for about 30 seconds until it softens, then slip it onto your thumb and hold it there for a minute while it cools. It sets permanently to your exact shape. If you ever want to readjust it, just repeat the process.
